Excel (the Most Popular Functions in a Practical and Definite Way)
In this course, each of its participants is provided with an individual approach and answers to his / her individual questions. Therefore, the number of participants in the group is limited and the training takes place in a small group.
Because, in our opinion, without such an individual approach, such training loses its meaning and you might as well use the Microsoft Help function.
The course provides information about Excel tools that have been thoroughly tested for decades and adapted to the needs of the 21st-century user, previous experience and new needs.
Тopics in the course are arranged from the simplest to the most complicated. For example, if a student selects the function Vlookup, it is obvious that he can round, do simple calculations, apply filters and cancel formatting.
Each unit also includes minimum time for questions and additional questions arising during the training.
This is an online training. Before each part, participants receive a work file and during a lesson, resolve tasks being guided by the lecturer*.

* It is advisable to use two devices during the lesson. By launching Zoom on one device, use it to listen to the lecturer’s instructions, and use the second one for the practical assignments and their fulfilment. For example, Zoom can be launched and the lecture can be listened to on a mobile phone, and the assignments can be fulfilled by using a computer. It is not mandatory, however, highly recommended. It would be easier to work this way.
** The lecturer uses Microsoft Excel for the training. Other Excel versions (Libero, Apple, etc.) may be different.
The course is presented by:
Aija Virse
An IT lecturer having more than 20-years’ experience in various types of training for adults at various levels gained in both major and minor projects.
Thanks to Liepaja’s bitter winds, the lecturer was awarded an academic master’s degree in computer sciences and supplemented it with the professional master’s degree in psychology. Therefore, any classes conducted by the lecturer will go smoothly enriching user experience and leading to new conclusions. The most important is students’ motivation and willingness to learn, and the lecturer is responsible for the rest.
The most demanded topics are Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word. If You have a question what MS Office version? – any version, starting with 1997 up to O365 and more recent.
Duration of each topic: 1.5 – 2 hours
